Our Learning Powers

Our Learning Powers are a series of five characters developed by children and staff which we now use throughout the school to help promote the right attitudes to learning. 

 

Each character represents an aspect of learning which, it they concentrate on it, will help the children to make progress. For example, ' CURIOSITY'. This is explained in more detail as follows:

  • Ask questions
  • Notice things
  • Look for problems and connections
  • Problem solve
  • Think of possible reasons
  • Research
  • Ask 'What if?'


Each character is also linked to a liturgical reference which tries to explain the sentiment underpinning each aspect of learning to improve understanding. You can take a look at these in the booklet below.
