Parent Partnership

As you are aware, a Catholic education is not just about academic achievement, but also about spiritual growth and character development. Working in partnership with our parents is key to ensuring children's intellectual, ethical and spiritual growth.

Christ himself gave the parents the responsibility of being our first and primary educators, and it is at school that we build on this foundation with guidance by our experienced teachers. You, as parents, hold a critical role and have a huge impact on your child's faith development.

As a school, we encourage parents to be active in their child's education journey. By being involved in the school community, you have the opportunity to support our mission and philosophy. There are many ways in which you can be involved, from volunteering to share your talents, to attending parent-teacher conferences and school events.

Please see below some of the wonderful community events we have here at St Cuthbert's, where we all come together to support each other and celebrate one another.

Our annual Lantern Parade

Our annual Summer Festival

Our half termly coffee mornings with guest speaker

Each half term we invite a guest speaker into school to speak at our coffee mornings. These have been successfully attended and parent feedback is very positive. Our LPPA working group and Parent Ambassador group come together to organise guest speakers to support with current topics/issues or suggestions from parents.

Last year we had guest speakers from Early Help, Global policing, A Play Therapist, Behavioural Specialist and many more. We have opened this up to the wider community and to friends and family of St Cuthbert's and St Mary's.
